What makes QOGH hair different from other hair extensions?

Every weft we sell comes from a single verified donor — never mixed, never blended. This means perfectly aligned cuticles from root to tip: no tangling, no matting, and a lifespan of 12–24+ months compared to the industry average of 6–9 months. We also pay donors 3–5x the standard industry rate and maintain full chain of traceability from donor to delivery.

What does 'ethically sourced' actually mean?

It means our founder personally visits source villages to verify that donors give fully informed consent, are paid fairly (3–5x the standard industry rate), and that working conditions meet our strict ethical standards. Every batch is traceable back to its donor. As we say: if we can't trace it, we don't sell it.

 Is the hair really 100% virgin?

Yes. 'Virgin' means the hair has never been chemically processed, coloured, permed, or bleached. It comes directly from the donor in its natural state. We never coat our hair in silicone to mask quality — what you see is what you get, from root to tip.

How long do QOGH hair extensions last?

With proper care and maintenance, our extensions last 12–24+ months — significantly longer than the industry average of 6–9 months. The key is single-donor hair: because all cuticles run in the same direction, the hair doesn't tangle or deteriorate the way mixed-donor hair does. Many of our clients are on their 3rd and 4th refit with the same hair.

  

Choosing the right method

Which extension method is right for me?

It depends on your hair type, lifestyle, and desired result:

· Tape extensions — the most popular method. Flat, discreet, and easy to maintain. Great for most hair types.

· Nano ring — the most discreet option. No heat, no glue, ideal for fine or thin hair.

· Keratin bond — long-lasting and natural-looking. Best for thicker hair.

· Genius Weft / Flat Weft — maximum volume and density. Ideal for salon installs.

What's the difference between Genius Weft and Flat Weft? Both are weft methods applied by a stylist, but there are key differences:

· Genius Weft — can be cut to any width without shedding, making it highly versatile and waste-free.

· Flat Weft — sits ultra-flat against the head for a seamless finish, great for clients with fine hair wanting volume.

Both use the same 100% single-donor virgin hair and have the same 12–24+ month lifespan.

 Can I colour QOGH hair extensions?

Yes — because our hair is 100% virgin and never pre-processed, it takes colour beautifully. You can lighten, darken, tone, or balayage it just as you would natural hair. We always recommend having this done by a professional stylist, and we advise a strand test first. For a bespoke pre-coloured option, see our Custom Colour service.

 

Ordering & Delivery

How long does delivery take?

Standard orders typically dispatch within 2–3 business days. Custom Colour orders are made to order and take 7–14 days. You'll receive a tracking notification as soon as your order ships. We offer free delivery on your first order, and fast UK shipping on all orders.

Do you ship outside the UK?

We are primarily a UK-based supplier, but we do ship internationally. Please contact us at contact@queenofgoodhair.com before placing an international order so we can confirm shipping costs and timelines to your location.

What is your returns policy?

Due to the nature of hair products and hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept returns on opened hair extensions. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we will resolve it immediately. Custom Colour orders are non-refundable as they are made specifically for you.

How do I become a QOGH salon partner?

Visit our Partner With Us page to apply. All applications are reviewed within 48 hours. Once approved, you'll receive your partner welcome pack, wholesale pricing, a dedicated account manager, and access to marketing materials. There's no minimum order to get started.

What wholesale pricing and margins are available?

Approved salon partners receive exclusive trade pricing with up to 30% commission on referrals and resales. Pricing details are shared in your partner welcome pack after approval. Apply via our Partner Programme page.

 Do you provide marketing materials for salon partners?

Yes — all approved partners receive ready-to-use marketing assets including product imagery, client-facing brochures, social content, and aftercare cards. You'll also have your own unique referral link for tracking client referrals automatically.

 

Training

Do you offer hair extension training?

Yes — through the QOGH Skills Academy. Tammy has 30 years of hair experience and trained with Racoon International. Courses cover Tape, Nano Ring, and Weft methods, and are Habia CPD certified. In-person training is available now; online courses are coming soon. Register your interest on the Academy page.

What certification will I receive after training?

You'll receive a Habia (Hair and Beauty Industry Authority) CPD certification — the industry-recognised standard. Unlike many online courses, at the QOGH Skills Academy you only qualify when Tammy is satisfied you are fully competent. Every student also receives a personal callback after their course to answer any follow-up questions.

 

Hair Care & Maintenance 

How do I look after my QOGH extensions?

Treat them like your own hair — gently. Key tips:

· Brush from the ends up using a soft-bristle extension brush, twice daily

· Use sulphate-free, extension-safe shampoo and conditioner

· Avoid applying conditioner near the bonds or attachment points

· Dry thoroughly before sleeping — don't sleep on wet extensions

· Use a heat protectant before styling with hot tools

· Book regular maintenance appointments with your stylist every 6–8 weeks

Can I swim or exercise with my extensions in?

Yes, but take precautions. For swimming: wear your hair up or in a braid, and rinse thoroughly with fresh water immediately after. Chlorine and salt water won't damage the hair itself but can affect the bonds over time. For exercise: tie hair back loosely to avoid putting tension on the bonds. Always dry thoroughly after sweating or swimming.
